The Rule of St. Maelrúain for the Céli Dé

The Rule of an Religious Order or Community defines the prayer life, fasts and activities of the members.
One does not have to be a Céle Dé to be a Celtic Orthodox Christian, but all Céli Dé are Celtic Orthodox Christians.

The Rule of St. Maelrúain and Admission of Postulants
Arranged by subject and explained. Additions are primarily from other writings of St. Maelrúain and related documents. This is the Rule approved for the use of Céli Dé.

St. Maelrúain's original arrangement of the Rule

Galli cantus Galli plausus
Proximum sentit diem
The crowing of the cock, the flapping of the cock,
Says that day is nigh,
We, singing and litanizing
What we believe will be.
